I did build a crystal set many years ago. But then, I did not really understand how it worked. So G4BYE and I spent an hour or so, building one and experimenting with different diodes etc.
VHF Super Regen
Another evening we built a VHF Super Regen, in case you are wondering, it was "built" on a transformer, which conveniently provided a steady base complete with solder tags!
The vertical wire to the left is the antenna. The completed radio was connected to a small audio amp. A lot was learnt, or remembered from these little experiments. Recommended.
